Blues, Brews & BBQ
Had a lovely evening last night rocking to the tunes of Contagious Blues at the Blues, Brews & BBQ festival in beautiful downtown Charlotte. It was quite an unique event with no boundaries of age or race, so it was a pretty cool event. Everyone loves the Blues, so it was not an unusual sight to see a toddler shaking their booty to the jams. Hope to make next years entire event, instead of having to work & missing out on other talented musicians. The festival continues on today.

Mom & Dad

Swimming was beautiful, could not have asked for better weather. Water seemed a little bit cooler, must be because of the cooler evenings. It's been nice sleeping with the windows open.
Mom & Ed
Starting on the newest project of Graphic Realizm®, a portrait of my mom & her (then) new husband Ed, whom I call my father. Debating on whether to continue creating in Illustrator, or do the normal hand-drawn black & white. Hand-drawing is so much faster, so all I've done in Illustrator may end up in the waist bin.

Typos...

Found a glaring style typo on my CD back jacket... it's been fixed. The next batch will show the correction.

An Evening with Brent Skidmore
Went to see some cool art tonight, how it was made & to meet artist & people of like minds. What a lovely home & gracious hosts Dana & Rick Davis are. Truly a rememberable experience. Had a good time, chatted with some friendly folks. To see a smattering of Brent's work go to his web site at: http://www.brentskidmore.com/ or you can always click on the link in the "sites to check out."

Finalized my Electronic Portfolio.... time to get marketing myself. It's back into the graphics world again, hopefully, soon if not sooner!!!!!! The back jacket is now on the inside back of front, until I can locate jackets where I can insert art sandwiched between plexiglass back. Last changes are listed on this art... no more changes.

CD Jacket Redesign

Changed the CD Jacket art. Amber critiqued for me & said it seemed too dark & hard to read. She was right. Thank you, Amber!
Final Red-Tail Hawk Illustration

Created a few Red-Tail Hawks & still have to go with the most simple black & white with a little color for the beak & the eye. Both are so much of the spirit of the hawk, that they are the only things I feel necessary to accentuate.

A friend of mine, Karen Forshey, created this post card & painting, "Natures Beauty At Dusk." Her paintings & prints can be purchased by calling for more information: 803-548-2005, or email: karen777designer@yahoo.com.
Karen says, "Deep rooted within the spirit of Karen, the artist, is a passion to express the beauty in nature. As a visionary artist, Karen feels as though her assignment in life is to replicate, in an artist's manner, the Works of our "Creator." Her mission is to bring a vision of natural beauty and a sense of peace and tranquility into the World."
